Foot fusion: hi I have been on the waiting list since... - NRAS
Foot fusion
I am in Denver, CO preparing for foot surgery myself. They need to fuse mine as well from arthritis damage. Although I am dreading the surgery as well the pain is starting to affect me. I walk 2 miles daily pain or not and teach Pilates so I am kind of ready to be able to do what I love pain free! at least in my foot! I have had both knees replaced already and am so very happy I did it as I have full range of motion and no longer have the bone pain any longer. The recovery is not fun but I know I will be so much happier when all is said and done as I am sure you will be as well. Good luck!
My wife had a foot fusion 5 years ago and it was very successful with no further problems except limited movement in the ankle which was obviously entirely expected. Good luck.
The ankle fusion I had a few years ago made such a difference to my mobility!
I hired a knee scooter after the op to get around and found it very useful.
Good luck, you’re in great hands there at Chapel Allerton. 🩷
