I am on MTX and COSENTYX I have had hay fever in the past, but not for several years. This weekend I am struggling desperately. Is it safe to take anti histamine while on these medications? Can't find a local pharmacist to ask today

Hay fever!
can’t see why not. You could check the list of drugs not to take on the patient info leaflet of the ones you are taking.
You could look on drugs.com. It's pretty useful for plumbing in names of drugs and seeing if there’s any interactions but if you can wait till tomorrow, all the pharmacies will be open - and it’s due to go back to our normal British weather so you’ll probably find you’ll go back to normal too!
As madmusiclover suggested, also look on the patient info leaflets of the drugs you’re on to check for interactions.
I take a daily antihistamine with MTX and hydroxychlorquine
I finally managed to find a pharmacist on duty. Showed him my long list of medication and he said loratidine is fine so started taking that. Waiting for it to kick in, or pollen levels to drop
Hay fever sucks doesn’t it🤧🤧
I take a daily antihistamine and I’m on hydroxychloroquine and leflunomide. It seems to be worse this year for me, especially at night 🙄🙄
Hope you are able to find a hayfever medication that suits you. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hay fever seems to have been particularly severe here this year. I'm on loratidine antihistamine, but also use a steroid nasal spray and opticrom eye drops.
Wash your hair frequently, change clothes when you come indoors if you can, shower frequently. I've also got an air filtration unit upstairs but it doesn't seem to make much difference.
I take antihistamines with MTX and steroids. No problems so far.
I have been on Methotrexate for a number of years and I am off it since Dec 2023. Because I now have a Lung problem and taking a drug totally unrelated to RA. This is not affecting my Arthritis. Some people find Methotrexate works well for them. Going forward I do not see myself taking Methotrexate in the near future.
If Methotrexate is not tolerable then insist on other drugs for RA. This is not always easy as 'One Prescription Fits All' and this is the first drug of choice that is recommended.
I hope that helps.
