Has anybody had a depomedrone intramuscular injection while on Methotrexate 15mg weekly ?
I’ve had a joint one before and that was O K but obviously the general one in leg is a bigger dose Just can’t get through to rheumatology helpline at my hospital and GP just says ask them ?

Hi. Years ago whilst I was on Methotrexate only I had regular depo-medrone 120mgs i.m shots as MTX didn’t hold my disease at bay at all. Have moved on some fifteen years but even on JAK Filgotinib I still need the depo shots about three times a year and am on prednisolone orally 7.5mgs daily and have been for 34 years.
You shouldn’t have any problems with a systemic shot while on MTX and it might give you the boost you sound as if you need if they’re offering it. Good luck and hope it suits you.
Yes, soon after I'd been diagnosed I needed a depomedrone injection. It was 120mg I think. At the time I was taking MTX (25mg), HCQ and prednisolone tablets, but they hadn't kicked in fully or weren't doing enough. It took a week or so for the effects of the injection to become clear, but it did help.
I’m sorry can’t help with that I can’t take Methotraxate at all, even though lots of people are on it, it rocketed my liver function sky high. Hope you get someone who can help you. I’m on Hyrimoz now, seems to be ok, anyone else on it and having any probs ?
