Hi any help on this I Would appreciate. I’m having pain in top of shoulder leading up to base of scull mostly on left side, also having headaches. Been on Benapali for about a year and has been good. But wondering if it could have stopped working. Anyone else have similar symptoms please?
headaches: Hi any help on this I Would appreciate. I’m... - NRAS
headaches
I'd sorry but don't know but do think you should contact your GP for an appointment as it may be nothing to do with Benapli. If it's listed as a side effect does paracetamol help and might it be worth a chat with RA team? I use it and never had a headache so sorry I just have no idea.
definitely get checked out with your doctor, might be nothing to do with Benepali, you’d probably notice in your joints if it stops working but this sounds similar to how my neck problems started (OA)
Are you drinking enought water?
And is there anyone who can give you a scalp massage .
When I have a bad headache ,even migraine type a scalp massage can get rid of the pain about 90 percent .
Neck pain is one of the top causes of persistent headache.A few years ago my husband was crippled with headaches and saw a specialist. His came from his sinuses and are managed with acupuncture.
Definitely get seen by GP and see if you can get a physio referral
I know getting an appointment isn’t easy, but you really should call your GP .On here we can’t diagnose and we certainly can’t advise treatment…please don’t always think a drug you are prescribed for RA is the culprit causing any other symptoms.
Hi Swanfull,
I’ve got exactly those symptoms, I’ve had them since having Covid about 10 weeks ago, I’m also on Benepali . I did bring it up at my last GP appointment, he said it was probably long Covid, I did have the antiviral infusion too. Some days are worse than others but it really having a negative impact on my sleep and also it’s effecting my work. I’ve been on Benepali for about 4 years and never had any issues.
You have my sympathy.
The biologics don't work as well after a long period of use, but 12 months is nothing in terms of usage time. Have you got damage in your shoulder from the arthritis? It's possibly resonating up into your head. I have severe damage in both shoulders as well as neck and spine problems and it causes me bad headaches. Ask if you could have an x-ray on your shoulder and neck. Hope you get sorted
Sorry I don't know about your condition or meds, but I have been having shoulder pain that spreads up my neck and can be really severe. I went to see a great physio who said that nerves in that area had got over sensitised - maybe to do with having a lot of inflation over many years, also working at a computer, looking at phone too much etc etc that caused the chest muscles to tighten and pull the shoulder out of place. I am now trying to rehab it with a lot of stretch exercises. Don't know if any of that helps or applies to you but thought I'd share just in case! good luck
