Hi everyone, just want to say hello and am pleased that I am now part of this online community. I've had Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 30 years now and it's good to be able to hear from others in the same situation .

Hi and not a club I’d ever thought I’d join but did many years ago and worked full time too. Now retired I’m older but no wiser.

Do we ever get wiser ? Maybe we slow down a bit more and learn to give ourselves more time

I was diagnosed with RA 20 years ago but had symptoms for years before that were put down to my age!

That must have been so frustrating for you

Hi and welcome to the Forum. I'm still early in my RA journey, compared to you - I was only diagnosed in 2016! I'm sure that your experiences over the years will help provide insights to the likes of 'beginners' like me 😂 Hope you're doing OK at the moment.

Going through a flare at the moment nanapat61 but hopefully it'll be a short lived one ! Thank you , looking forward to sharing experiences with everyone.

Oh no - the flares are so debilitating and random! It's frustrating to me that I can't pin down what causes them, in my case. Hope you get over it very soon. Take care.

Hello and welcome. I’m also a chronic sufferer but note my diagnosis is Adult Onset Stills Disease which for me manifests as rheumatoid disease. You’ll find the forum very interesting.

Welcome to this fabulous group 😁😁

I’m very new to Rheumatoid Arthritis, being diagnosed a year ago but suspect it’s been around for a couple of years before that.

It’s been so helpful and supportive being in this forum and everyone totally understands what we are going through. I read the posts most days and I have gained a lot of knowledge about RA.

Hi AcerGirl. Welcome to the forum. I’ve had RA (& serious problems with my eyes) for 32yrs. (Since i was 21). I know how frustrating & depressing this condition can be. That’s why i sometimes come on here & moan & vent! It does cheer me up. (Plus getting into bed with a lovely hot bowl of soup). Switching on my tablet. Watching crap & just relaxing really helps soothe my joints. (With the odd slab of cake!!) Good luck with everything. You can come on here. Night or day & just let out all your emotions. We all understand how you’re feeling. X
