Here I am on my 4th day in hospital, brought in with an aggressive lung infection.. after being bombarded with I v antibiotics chest X-rays ct scans loads of needles of bloods taken, then yesterday morning I was finally untethered from the drip. I got off the bed to go to the loo ( great I can do it now ) I stood up and had a major angina attack doctors, nurses and goodness knows who was around my bed. Now I have been moved to a cardio ward. Just as I thought that I was nearing going home bang now I'm not. I am so sick of it all I had a cateract removed 2 weeks ago and my glasses are not much good now. I have prescription sun glasses and I can see a little better out of those , so I have turned the brightness up on my I pad and put my sun glasses on. I am sure the nursing staff think I am stupid!!!! Sorry for the long rant, best wishes to everyone. X

Hi diddydriver,I'm in hospital to,been here a week with lung infection, pseudomonas ,like you loads of drugs ,but this bug very resistant to them.im fed up,RA bad today as well, just want to sleep.lets hope we both go home soon.xxxx
Well you don't do things by halves do you DD?! I'm so sorry you're having such a bad time but it does sound as though they're looking after you. Try not to stress, easy for me to say I know, but it will help.
Seems you've had an enforced carer break, not exactly a break & not an adviseable way of getting one come to think of it but I'm sure your dear h is being well looked after.
Try to rest, well as much as they'll let you in hospital, they're always waking you up for one test or another aren't they?! Hugs. x
Well I came home tonight at 7pm. The infection I had or still have but very much on the mend Is pericardial. During the course of investigations they have found that bones around my chest are quite thin and I have to have a bone density MRI on Thursday also they have found changes in my heart so at a later date I have to have another MRI of my heart. My copd is a bit iffy so they have changed my meds. My rd is behaving itself yeh. To top it all my oh who most of you will know has dementia has developed a chest infection must have cought it from me. Sleep well everyone and take care. X
I'm sorry, I've only just seen your reply. I'm pleased you're home but do you have someone to help you as things are? Sorry as well that you've now other things to contend with, as if you needed those but I hope the bone & cardiac MRI's give you more answers. My h has yet another in a fortnight ready for his appointment with his Surgeon the following week.... again.
As it is I hope you're on the better side, your h as well, it must be wearing the thought of other issues so I hope you have been able to rest some. x
Hi Rose, sorry to hear that you too are in hospital, I hope you make a good recovery and are not in too long. Chin up your own bed is waiting for you!!!! X
