This might seem off the wall to some but... yesterday when I saw my rheumy he told me pool therapy would be excellent for me. I am on Medicare now as I am disabled to work anymore. Question is have you ever heard of Medicare helping with or approving a pool and helping with cost? My sed rate and crp levels are through the roof and I have got to do something. Thanks for any help.
Hugs to you all
Peggy.

Being in England I'm afraid I know very little about Medicare so not much use to you really. I hope someone else will come along with some information for you
Thanks for you response. My cousin was on disability from work, his disability paid for him to have a hot tub. He went back to work but I was just curious is Medicare would pay. You never know and I thought someone on this site may have dealt with that before. I’ll call Medicare and check. Thanks again.
A nice exercise for RA is using a rebounder - a compact trampoline, it’s very good for the lymphatic system and soft movement for RA. If you need it, you can have a steadying bar attachment with some models. When council gyms were still open, I would always use the Power Plate which is a nice feeling with feet & ankle inflammation. Last August, I had a flare before secondary DMARD kicked in, and found a sauna gave some relief.
Along with medication, what reduced my ESR and inflammation (from 55 down to 18) was diet - going gluten free, high vegetable intake, eating liver weekly, and sometimes doing intermittent fasting.
Thank you so much. My rheumatologist told me yesterday not to be going to a gym with my inflammation so high. He said with my severe back issues I didn’t need to do anything except water therapy. I have been to a neurosurgeon and she did mri and my back is so bad she told me that pain management is the only thing that is gonna help me. And she is a wonderful doctor so I told her I was already in pain management. I do need to eat healthy tho. And I have been trying to lately. Thanks so much for your reply.
I know nothing about medicare, but I do know that some pools ans spas provide low cost sessions for people with disabilities. Is there one local to you that you could ask?
