I am due to have a nodule removed from my thumb next month under local anaesthetic. Does anyone know if I have to stop my idacio jab and if so for how long before and after? I am having trouble contacting my advise team!

Wouldn’t have thought so as it won’t involve any kind of anaesthetic apart from a local into your thumb. The only risk obviously is infection but only your surgeon can advise you whether you need to stop your drugs so hopefully you’ll be given the correct advice nearer the time. You can always ring the surgeon’s secretary as the surgeon has ultimate responsibility and will know what he/she classes as risk in this case. Best of luck, hope it all goes well.
Hello…I had a lipoma removed from my ankle several weeks ago and contacted my rheumatologist about meds. He said that it was classed as a minor op with a local anaesthetic so no need to stop taking anything but to check with the surgeon who confirmed this.
I had a knee replacement recently, too! That surgeon said not to stop my meds.
I take Hydroxychloroquine, Methotrexate and minimal Prednisolone….slow tapering!
Always wise to check as different professionals may have different opinions.
Hope that all goes well!
possibly, as it’s more the risk of ncection getting in. Especially when they’re working close to to the bone. You wouldn’t want osteomyelitis in your hand. I’d check with your team
