rheumatoid nodules

I was diagnosed with Adult Onset Stills disease aged 17 in 1979 which is autoimmune RA.

I’m experiencing bilateral nodules (Dip) in the tip joint of both idex fingers. Numbness, stiffness, redness, soreness, stiffness and itchiness, really weird . Anyone else?

I have nodules and they’re quite common in RA but mine don’t itch or hurt.

I have had nodules on both elbows, they were only sore if I applied pressure to them when resting my elbows on a table for example, they have become much smaller over the years.

No sorry I don’t but isn’t there anything that can be done if they are causing problems which sound very pleaseant.

My sister in law had lumps on her fingers and they’d started to twist too. and she had an appointment last week with East Grinstead hospital could it be worth some research into operations. I’ll see her later in the week but I only know now that she’s had injections and some while ago mentioned a surgical procedure.Ill ask when she visits. X

An interesting hospital its a long way from us and my SIL who lives in next village but I suppose it’s because of its excellence in micro surgery. I’ve an ancient picture of my uncle there. I never knew him but mum wrote who was who on all her old photo’s. I only ever had the one bony lump of my foot, and my foot was turning, when it got over 27% it was operated on. So far it’s still normal. The humidity today has made my hands ache but they still manage to get hold of some strawberries and cream as a treat.

I have nodules on my feet, which really limits what shoes I can wear.

my footwear is limited by RA rigidity of big toe joints and a non RA related leg muscle injury which had left me with a limp and Enthetitis. Plus there’s the RA in knees and hips which all contribute to feet that never stop hurting. Don’t get me started on corns 😉 I really need to grow wings. I having a guided steroid injection next month which will help.

Edit: shoes that work for me, leather lace up arch form sketchers, Van Dal low wedge ankle boots, both are roomy enough for my orthotics.
