Are spots connected to pred

I've been on pred since January.. I've started to develop red spots on my lower face..

It started with one but I'm now developing a cluster of red spots... Its something I've never had, so I was wondering.. Is it likely to be connected to the steroids..

I'm at the moment on 3mg..

Thanks..

My son was warned that steroid s could make acne on his back worse , he was given course of antibiotics and cream for the spots

I seem to be getting more each day.. I have to see gp in a couple of weeks, so I'll see if he'll give me something.. Thanks for your reply.

prednisolone can make a tendency for acne or seborrheic dermatitis flare, although I wouldn't have thought 3mg would have much effect - were you on a higher dose before as it can be a bit delayed?

Ask the GP for help with that - I was given azelaic acid gel which helped.

Yes I was on 20mg in January.. Reducing down..

My gp who I think has been great, says that he wants to get me of pred because I have severe osteoporosis..

I don't know how I deal with the pain from polymialga if I don't have the steroids though..

Im Also experiencing fatigue... Everything is an effort... Is that normal?

Thank you for taking the time to answer me.

Do you feel unwell if so ring your GP for advice and don't wait until the weekend. Probably nothing but could be any number of things not connected to Pred. Best of luck and as I have shingles at the moment a very painful rash and being unwell is at the front of my mind. lol xxx

So sorry that you have shingles.. My husband has had it several times so I know its very painful..

I can't say that I feel un well just no energy..

I've recently had a blood test which showed my Inflammation markers still a bit high and slightly anaemic... But everything else was OK...

So ill check with the gp when I see him. Hope you soon feel better x
