if your feet continue to be painful, when you see your consultant ask for a referral to a podiatric surgeon. Don’t panic - they are the feet experts and don’t just do surgery! They should know whether custom made insoles and/or steroid injections would help.
As a last resort for my painful feet (felt like I was walking on broken glass!!). My Consultant offered me an Ultrasound scan & hey presto, It showed up massive inflammation in the soles of my feet!!, she then offered me the Biologic Rituximab along with my MTX & I’ve been totally pain free for the past 3 years!😃. Perhaps you could suggest an ultrasound too?.. good luck 🤞🏼
A referral to a specialist RA podiatrist would be a good idea for you. Not an expert here but the tingly tongue could mean an allergic reaction to something and would be well worth having it checked out. If possible, contact your rheumy team or, failing that, your GP
