travelling with methotrexate syringe

Does anyone have any info on travel in Hugary Slovakia Austria with these pens? With a Gp letter and px of course.

Pop them in hand luggage in the boxes. Use them. Pop them back in boxes and bring home.

Exactly what I do except I put them in my suitcase when I travel home.

Hi I’ve travelled around Spain, Portugal Greece and Croatia with methotrexate and biologic injections. Always in my hand luggage but never take them out …. And have never been asked about them. I do carry a letter from my provider just in case I’m challenged.

I’m off to Iceland soon and then Borneo/Cambodia/Vietnam early next year where I plan to do the same.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why always in hand luggage? I have taken my metoject pens on holiday with a prescription letter but always in my suitcase. Travelling somewhere really hot they have a better chance of arriving at hotel under 25 degrees if they are in the middle of hold baggage rather than in hand baggage.

I had a suitcase go missing some years back so I always make sure my medications are in my hand luggage. It gives me peace of mind.

Hi, Hopeful1, I have travelled with mtx injections, I told the airline when booking, got a letter to say I take them from hospital, I also take a list of meds from my doctor, you can get a travel purple box from your doctor, always in my hand luggage, not had a problem with it.
