yikes. I only tested because of a very mild sore throat and my husband being under thee weather. Now I’m worried about suppressing my immune system even more! Has anyone else done similar and lived to tell the tale!

Don’t worry mtx just brings your immune system to what it should be, I had taken my biologic and mtx when I tested positive the next day and I didn’t die (obviously 😊) although I was very unwell. 🤞🏻 you don’t get any worse.
I've just got over Covid - first infection. It started with a sore throat on the day of 25mg MTX injection. It was rough (like flu) but I got over it. I was at my worst for 3 days (extremely tired, headache, fever and sore throat) and then wasn't too bad but it took 15 days to get a negative test. I didn't get the antiviral.
I got Covid and went on the antivirals. They were amazing and I was totally better after the first dose. I took these for five days then I resumed my Cosentyx and leflunimide and 24 hours later I had rebound Covid. Ha ha! I hope all goes well for you!
I also had rebound covid, don’t think I would take the antivirals again , I was actually worse with rebound than I felt with Covid
morning Jillyanne. Wow that’s not good to hear! How long did the “second round” take to pass?
I really wouldn’t worry. MTX is slow to leave the system so forgetting one will make little difference. I would just withhold now till you test negative.
Eligibility was tightened for antivirals, with MTX not qualifying unless you take it f or e interstitial lung nhs disease. Even those on anti tnf biologics or jak inhibitors no longer qualifying. The reason they give is evidence is showing they are not thought to be at risk of severe disease, which is reassuring. Many who have received a letter stating they may qualify, are being declined now. I would get plenty rest, drink plenty fluids, and take regular paracetamol. I assume you’re up to date with your vaccines. Try not to worry, you may well bt lucky and symptoms stay mild. Take care 🤗
dear Runrig. It’s a confusing picture isn’t it? My rheumatologist seemed adamant I should take them but I feel like it’s a bit of a lottery whether they even get offered. I’ve just started Rinvoq which is a Jak and it’s working like a Dream. My current main concern is not doing anything to upset that particular apple cart!!
Yes! I continued with MTX when I had Covid last year. Hope you and your hubby feel better soon.😁
I took my jak while I had covid. I wasn't willing to have the flare up stopping it would cause. I lived to tell the tale.
wow I feel this! The Rinvoq is amazing and the prospect of stopping it 😬
