that’s in my part of the country. I miss being able to do the coastal walks round there…and couldn’t contemplate those steps down to the beach now. Lovely to go get a cuppa at the tea shop there and gaze out to sea though.

I was born in Hull and your photos and description of your trip to Beverley, Hornsea and York Minister brought back lots of memories, I’ve not been back up to Hull since my parents died, but once I feel fit again I’m putting it on my ‘must do list’. I had many holidays at Hornsea as a young child.

Me too Akaka. My mum died 2001 and I finally went back to Hull at the tail end of City of Culture...need to go again!

I’m a Leeds girl but have had many many holidays and visits to the east coast. Spurn Point is one of my fave places. 💗 I used to love Hornsea and the Pottery. My childhood friend lived in Hull and then Beverely for the last 15 years after moving from Leeds mid 90s and I used to visit her a lot pre 2020. Hopefully will again and hope you and also Greynot get back there soon. 💗💗

Probably haven’t been to Spurn for 20 years, wonder how it is now, the worry was it would be reclaimed by the sea. I remember going to the Lifeboat station and meeting Brian Bevan and the crew!

Sounds excellent! SP is still very much there and the sea hasn’t got it yet!

Lovely. I stayed in Brid last year for a few days and went to Filey and Flamborough Head when I was there. There was a kite festival on at the time. It’s a nice part of the country.
