Hope pain

I have been having pain on my left hip that is waking me up before my alarm goes off at 4 am. I cannot get an appointment until after 15 th may and I am away seeing my brother in Ireland. If I am bending doing the dishwasher my left hip hurts. If I walk some distance it hurts. I don't really know what to do about it!

Sorry to hear about your hip pain. The 15th May or later is a long time to wait. Is this to see a gp? Have you tried ringing 111 to see what they say. I often have hip pain but I know it’s caused because I have a wonky knee, so compensate for this by changing the way I walk. It happens subconsciously.

just a thought, have you tried wearing some tight support pants , the sort that also go a bit down your legs think they sell em in boyes , and the big Tesco stores , might give a bit of relief x

Your GP can request an X Ray initially. When you say appointment do you mean with GP or rheumy?

also if you have any prednisone see if Gp recommends this as an interim possible relief to the pain??
