Hi everyone

Can I get a bit of advice please from your experience.Started filgotinib 2 weeks ago and doing well.still a little lightheaded in the morning although not unpleasant. On Thursday morning have to drive on motorway and read a poem at my daughter in law dads funeral, which will be a difficult day.worried about driving when a little spaced out.if take tablet previous evening at tea time would it make me feel lightheaded by 10.30 next morning or would that be psychological.maybe I should just miss Tuesday evening tablet.no reply from rheumy nurse so desperate measures called for.

Don’t think it would matter to miss one day,so must not make a big deal of it!

Thanks all.

Honestly it won’t make any difference if you miss one day. It’s still in your bloodstream and doesn’t cut off just like that! I am on the same drug and been on and off like a yo yo recently as it’s affecting some blood levels so consultant is being cautious. The effects of Filgotinib are still with me and working well even though recently I’ve been off it a week and will go back on it again in a week or two.

It’s probably far more important for your well-being at the moment to be able to drive and recite the poem at the funeral (which isn’t going to be easy) than worrying about one or two missed tablets. So all the best and hope it goes as well as possible for you on Thursday.

I'm on Filgotinib which was stopped due to an abscess. I found it was 7 days before I started to feel unwell RA wise. I don't think missing 1 day would have much effect.

I think no problems. I do it from time to time and notice no difference.

The patient information sheet with your medication usually gives information on missed doses.
