Got x ray on knee and ankle. And that was it really. Anyone get a hot feeling just in front of the bum after walking. Or should I say trying to walk. Their where a few things I missed out like hip pain. Getting a bit feed up of trying to walk and then lying on bed or is this a symptom. Of this thing .

Sounds like you could have done with your lumbar spine / hip / pelvis areas being checked out as well if you are getting pain in that sort of area. If these X-rays don’t show anything keep going

You think I should keep on at them regarding this. It feels like due to compensating I'm all over the place. Like I have one leg shorter than other. When I whent I should have mentioned this. Like I'm straining to walk. How do I get to see another specialist doctors don't want to know really.

you need a good chiropractor type therapist for ongoing muscle stretching & realignment

not if there is active inflammation and/or erosion to joints, chiropractic movements can be too harsh.

I agree completely it can be dangerous, especially when you don’t know what’s causing the issue. I have ankylosing spondylitis and chiropractors are a complete No No. the extra bone that grows in the spine and on tendons & ligaments is more fragile than normal bone, and they can result in fractures in the wrong hands.

Minka I’m not sure where you refer to when you say”in front of the bottom”, but if you mean deep within your buttock it could be your sacroiliac joint that’s the issue. Are you seeing physio, if not it may be worth seeing one who can work on muscles that are weakened by your abnormal gait. As altering the way you walk to compensate for pain, impacts other joints.

Moreen last night I had to go to bed at 8.30 feet and knees where giving up on me. I am not walking square at all. Buttocks where on fire. One knee looks worse than the other. And feet whent red at night. Is this part of this thing cos I feel like I can't take any more of this. The abdomen CT and hips scan showed just degenerative in spine. But I had none of this 3 months no different to 2012 .all started with just. Some groin pain. Now I'm walking real bad worse every day really. Ligaments in ankles feel like they are dried out. Do you have that feeling at all and how long you had yours and can you walk far. Also my teeth and gums are receding fast I bet I could pull them out with pliers. Booked appointment at dentist. From where I was 3 months ago this is like moving on fast. Just tried a bloody minded walk should not have done that I have no much meat left on my buttocks to power me along.

sorry to hear your struggling so much. I don’t suffer with pains you describe, except for burning in my buttocks and thighs when I stand still. If I sit down the burning subsides. CT scans won’t pick up inflammation, you need an mri for that, and it needs to be a stir sequence one that highlights inflammation. They are ordered by rheumatologists. It sounds like you need to get back In contact with your rheumatologist for an urgent review. A clue to knowing if it’s a rheumatoid issue is if it’s worse at rest, and eases with movement it’s a rheumatoid condition. If it’s worse on movement and eases with rest it’s mechanical or due to wear and tear. Sorry I’m unable to help you further, but please contact your rheumatologist

Was as fit as a fiddle 3 months ago. Don't have a rum guy I paid private. Said it was a spongaropothy. All I got is ankle X-ray and knee when it comes .

I have found a very good one here, she never uses harsh movements, rather targeted massage, heat, and e-stim She has only helped the pain go away and taught me exercises. She also works with extremely physically disabled people. I think the idea that chiropractic treatments hurt is not realistic. There may be some awful ones out there but the trend is to use other methods on older people. In addition she did X-rays and a full exam before doing any treatments.

That sounds good, and not like a classic chiropractor. My concern with chiropractors is that the discipline is about manipulation of the spine and related structures, like hips. I personally prefer physio where the discipline is muscles, mobilisation of joints and exercise.

Mine is dual qualified so also an osteopath, and occasionally uses osteopathy on me. But greater focus on relaxing muscles and helping me keep myself in alignment.

Well I would persist if it doesn’t get any better - do you mean you feel the pain in your groin area or your pubic bone?

As Maureengibson says - I wouldn’t let anyone manipulate anything until you know the cause of your problem. Hopefully you can get your doctor to refer you for physiotherapy and the physio will refer you for a scan and once you know what is happening in that area then hopefully a physiotherapist can fix it, but as you don’t know the cause then just be a bit careful just now.

Fed up probably just sums it up. 🙈 Constantly struggling is hard.

How do you cope with this I'm taking movicol to go to bath room. Can you walk at all and what's your feet like and ligaments

Thankfully I am not as sick as you are (yet?) I feel for you Minka I could walk ok, did some stretching and took a very hot bath. Then I slept most of the day, I took adderall to wake up for the evening. Your feet and ligaments sound very painful. I have found taking 1500 mgs magnesium daily regulates my bowels well, without discomfort. I also am careful to eat bananas and lots of vegetables.
