Does anyone get gums flairing at night like you want your teeth removed and receding gums. Along with feet going red hot from feeling cold all day.

yep ME!!

Always had good teeth and gums then RA caused havoc. It’s a common symptom the dental hospital told me. The feet is peripheral neuropathy. I think you should mention it to your Gp.

YES I brush my teeth many times a day, use a water pick and Neem Oil mouthwash. It seems worse since my CLL appeared

I was given some Fluoride5000ppm toothpaste by my dentist….when what I thought was toothache was in fact inflamed gums. Seems to have solved the problem.

do you know if this toothpaste your dentist has given you can be bought over the counter. At the moment I use sensodyne , didn’t think that there could be something better .

No I don’t think so. ….. I got mine with a prescription from my dentist. I have had another look at the PIL & it says Do Not Swallow use only as directed by the Prescriber. 51g Sodium fluoride dental paste SF 1.1%. Only to be used by the person it is prescribed for.

It also says Do Not Swallow ,keep out of the sight & reach of children…Only to be used by persons over 16. I must admit once my mouth was comfortable I only use it at night now because it also says if you constantly swallow too much over several months/years …you may get a stained or speckled appearance on tooth enamel. I reckoned as my teeth are like me…very old….& still look reasonable …I wouldn’t chance that!

thank you for your reply , guess what I have only just found your reply !!!!

My folic acid was increased to 6 days a week (not Mtx day) when I started to get mouth ulcers etc. See if that helps.

Can I ask what Meds you are on please? I've sstarted to get these symptoms since I started Tocilizumab alongside Methotrexate

Methotrexate and Sulfasalazine. The Sulfasalazine has helped the mouth sores & oral herpes

you mention hot feet, I get hot feet at night, it’s called burning foot syndrome. It’s very unpleasant.

Yep it seems RA really messes your teeth up. Fine dental care and teeth, then RA, my gums get inflamed. Teeth hurt when I am in a flare and my teeth feels much weaker. Dentist says it's the RA that has along with medication that has messed up my teeth.😬 As for feet yes I get this too, I suggest going and seeing your GP or Rheumy nurs. Mine turned out to be plantar fascitis along with surface clots and Lymphoedema. Compression stockings have help a great deal.
