hi all,

A friend of mine with ra is looking to move to Dundee but unsure of the rheumatology provision there. Is there anyone on the site who could reassure her? Thanks!

I have RA and live in Dundee and personally feel we have a very good rheumatology service. There are several consultants and two specialist nurses.

I had several phone calls during Covid period and saw my RA Doc at Ninewells last week, can’t fault them at all, have had more interaction with the RA team at Ninewells but none from my GP. Good luck moving to Dundee.

I’m 9 months in on my RA journey- not quite going to plan but so far I’ve been impressed with rheumatology in dundee. I’ve had 2 x f2f and 1 call in that time. One with a consultant and 2 with their “side kicks” what impressed me the most was ALL really listened to my symptoms and fears and made a point of checking that they had written down everything I had said. Their follow up letters are very detailed too. I’m very happy with everyone I’ve dealt with so far- just not so much that the meds aren’t working quickly enough for me - must learn patience! 🤣

Thank you! I hope the meds kick in for you soon. Waiting can be very frustrating…not to say downright painful!
