Due to worrying news about pollution, I thought I would post this handy tool for Wild Swimmers and holiday-makers, who like me, wait for the kids to go back to school before venturing out…

I’m not sure it’s very accurate sorry. I am in S Wales and there is a red alert SW of Cardiff due to a sewage overflow 🙁
I agree. I’m on the south east coast, and we have Folkestone off bounds because of raw sewage, and warnings that with the tidal flow Walmer is also at risk. We also have a water park that only opened a month ago, that has been shut after people taking ill. It’s connected to a river where sewage was dumped 15 mile upstream and suspect that’s the source. I’m avoiding swimming in the sea for now.
🤢…. This will continue too now they don’t have to conform to EU regs… I’m due to go to Devon & Cornwall soon, I sincerely hope it will be ok there. Absolutely disgusting state of affairs.
Ewwww 🤢… it’s a charity, so presumably it’s posting from their members??? I looked at the Government one and that didn’t have any red flags 😳, hence posted this.
I use the app version of this website to keep an eye on pollution alerts, I find it useful for keeping an eye on pollution alerts as I swim in the sea a lot
My late eldest brother contracted poliomyelitis in 1933 on a Sunday School outing to the south coast. I consider it criminal that any government should seek to legalise pollution of our waterways when it’s known that the virus is currently active in London sewers.
I’m with you on that..
