Prescription issues anyone?

Good afternoon all. Has anyone had issues getting biologicals etc delivered? I was on Imraldi, which was delivered by Health care at home with no issues. Jabs not arrived this month with no letter or reason why. I contacted health care at home and they informed me that a request had been sent through six times by them. I'm wondering if there is a supply issue. I have just now emailed rheumatology to find out what's going on. However, given the chaos within the NHS right now I have decided not to continue with Imraldi. The side effects out weighed the positive anyway. I got blisters all round my mouth and several infections. It's impossible getting to see a GP round here. I've also had rheumatology appointments pushed back. It's all a bit of a mess!

Hi, no problems with drugs deliveries from Healthcare at Home. Been with them for the last six years - live in Shropshire - and they’ve always been very efficient. The one and only time they didn’t deliver was when the hospital hadn’t sent them the scrip. Hope it all sorts itself out where you are cos as we all know trying to sort out bits of the NHS ourselves is just too exhausting! Good luck.

Yes. This is the issue. Healthcare have requested six times to no avail.

I’ve never had problems with delivery but mine is done by Healthnet Homecare which doesn’t seem quite the same name. I hope you get it sorted quickly.

Thanks both. The issue doesn't seem to be with health care at home. It appears to be with getting the medicine. I was in Boots today and asked them if they had problems getting drugs They said there has been an issue getting hold of some.

So far touch wood I haven't had any issues getting meds. Getting to see a GP or speak with the rhuemy team on the other hand...... It is as you say rather a mess.

Is it possible your rheumatologist hasn’t sent a new prescription through? If your blood tests aren’t up to date that can delay issuing prescription. I would check with your team, as they need to send a new prescription every 6 months, and only when blood tests are satisfactory.

Thanks Maureen. Yes healthcare says rheumatology have not sent through. No idea what's going on to be honest. Difficult getting hold of anyone to find out. I've sent an email, so I guess I will wait.
