I just wanted to put a positive comment on here about Tocilizumab. My inflammation markers: ESR and CRP have been within 'normal' range for the last couple of monthly blood tests! π₯³I have been on Tocilizumab since January and it seems to be doing it's job so far! π€

We all know how these things go, so I'm just making the most of it by walking to build my strength up and swimming etc. It's been a long time since my feet have been ok. I'm not saying I'm pain-free, because damage has been done, but I'm taking a holiday from extreme, continuous all over pain.
Of course. It's the same with me - damage already done, but I've managed to get back to some sort of 'nornality' with improved mobility since being on Cimzia.
So glad, it changed my life too ! One word re bloods as told to me by biologic nurse, your bloods will look normal due to tcz but if you have pain you could be in a flare x
Just following their advice she new from clinical examination I was uncomfortable so in a flare but if your not uncomfortable and DAS is good snd bloods are good it's obviously working and extremely good news. What I was trying to say was if you are in pain yhey will still treat, does that make more sense?
So glad to hear it's working for you and if your pain is much less as well as your bloods for ESR and CRP that's really great news. If you're walking and swimming it certainly sounds as if it is. I know what allanah means though. My bloods were perfect when I was on Tocilizumab but the pain never left me. In addition all my muscles everywhere ached and I could hardly do anything. So I was taken off it and within a couple of weeks the muscle aches subsided. It's just something to be aware of and I know lots of people do really well on it just like you.
Thanks for this. My husband has just started Tocilzumab last month and so far has no reflief from pain. Waiting to see what the blood tests show. So disappointing, but he did find out it can take a while to have good effects. Hoping it helps after next infusion. xx
Good morning Moomin8 βοΈ That's excellent news π!! Very pleased to hear Tocilizumab is doing its job and I hope it lasts forever!! Thank you for sharing your good news and all the best, Christine
