Hi, I started 6 weeks ago, due to relapses, and have had 5 injections so far. Apart from some sharp stabbing pains in my head usually on the day of the injection and for a couple of days after, I have had no other side effects. I am also on 12.5 mg Prednisone, tapering down by 2.5 every 2 weeks. Good luck!

I've recently started them, the least painful injection I've done so that's a plus point. Haven't done them regularly enough yet to see any physical benefit. Hope they work for you xx

I have been on this for 4 years. It was my fifth biologic. None of the others worked. It really has been life changing. I get occasional flares (got one now) and occasional infections. Took 12 weeks to kick in. Hope it works for you.

Hi Beth, I've been taking it for 3 years, it is my 6th RA drug and it works well for me. I found the injection site became quite hot and inflamed and my RA nurse suggested that I stop pinching the site as I inject and it is less problematic now. Good luck.

There are quite a few previous posts about this. If you put the name of the treatment in the search box top right you should find them.

I’ve been on it for 10 weeks. It’s been great for me, mild side effects if any. RA is controlled, so life changing. Good luck

I was only on this for 9mths and I had zero improvements and that was due to the fact that everytime I used it I would get hayfever on acid type side effects. I was given antihistamine to take two days before my injection day and to take them on the day and two days after that and it didn't make a difference so the pharmacist said I was allergic to Tocilizumab and so I stopped taking it

Wishing you the best of luck and hope it works for you.
