I went for an Xray yesterday. One of the questions the reception asked me was if I was CEV. So I said I was and she directed me to a part of the waiting room well away from everyone else where there was a solitary chair a good six metres away from the next nearest!
Then I got directed to another solitary seat at the far end of the department well away from anyone else having Xrays before changing (in a cubicle nowhere near anyone else) and going into the actual Xray room.
It was quite a long walk! But good to feel looked after!

Haha lucky you I had another chest X-ray yesterday too at the hospital furthest away from where I live. I was lumped in again with everyone else and was furthest away down the corridor so had to pass by more people. The cubicle was cleaned between each use and they were pretty efficient but still. I’m CEV too and at extreme risk if I was to get Covid. Think I would have dropped dead if I’d have got the great treatment you appeared too. That said I’m not complaining just hope I don’t have to go again lol.
I had a similar embarrassment at the walk-in vaccine centre . Not because of CEV ( although I am on the list ) but because of my "blue card" . I can walk but because of long standing RA there are days that I find even "crawling" difficult .😳
We drove up to the door of the vaccination tent , where there was a designated "blue card" space .
Before I could struggle out of the car an army attendant arrived from nowhere with a wheel chair. I said that I was able to walk the short distance but my protestations were ignored . My husband tried to help by pushing the wheelchair but it was wrestled from his grasp and I was rushed past the long waiting queue to an empty cubicle .
I started to get out of the wheelchair but it had one of those massive footrests that couldn't be retracted , so I was making a hash of trying to get out over/around it . In the end I was told to sit still and I would be jabbed where I was .
A repeat performance had me rushed back to the car with my husband trailing behind trying to keep up .
This was my 4th jab and I've managed the other three under my own steam . But I won't forget this one and I'm now a grateful supporter of the help the army gives in situations like this - however embarrassing.
