MTX flare up

Does anyone else suffer a flare up after taking MTX?

I currently inject 20mg of MTX weekly (today)

For the past few months now I have noticed that on the same day after injecting myself I get hand and wrist flares. They are minor but it's strange how this seems to coincide with my MTX dose.

Maybe it's just me but I thought I'd put it out there. I have hot achy hands tonight which have been brilliant all week?

It happens now and again. I noticed my RA was unstable anyway and put it down to the methotrexate attacking the inflammation 🤷‍♀️

I've noticed a similar thing. Feel a bit sore in the hands and walking with a bit of pain in the feet the day after.Am on the same, 20mg injection of MTX and folic acid 6 times weekly.

I do feel great, compared to how i was feeling before the injections. But i have noticed.

I wonder if it's connected? I'm due to actually see a consultant in a few months. I'll try and find out.

I wouldn't describe mine as a flare, but yes, I get random pains (especially down my arms and hands) the afternoon/evening when I take my methotrexate in the morning.

I don't get a flare as such but do seem to be more achy for a couple of days and I feel really washed out.

I moved to taking g mtx at night so I sleep through a lot of the little flares.

I might have to do that. I used to do it on the tablets so maybe I'll try that again
