In a fatigue fog

Well, I think I can say my period of ‘remission’ is over. Battling myself and life. Brick in my head and lead in my veins. I’m due a major op (not RA related) next week. Not sure if they’ll take my low mood and energy into account at the Pre-assessment on Thursday. I really don’t need an op right now but it’s 2 years overdue thanks to an admin error. Feeling between a rock and a hard place. Also not looking forward to asking nurses to use my wrist bp monitor instead of cuff ( sends my fibro into orbit) at Pre-assessment. They were most put out last time I said this. I’ll see what they say about my preparedness for op, then might have a chat with my GP.

Sorry, just needed to share with those who understand.

No need to apologise - sounds horrible 😢If you've got a helpful GP I'd say that it's definitely worth a chat; I'm very lucky with mine and always find her input helpful.

It sounds sensible to chat with your GP, and yes I would have no hesitation in asking the nurse to use your BP monitor. I hope you get something sorted out 💐

Well you are right to share. Sounds like you are between a rock and a hard place. I only wish I could take some of the burden off your shoulders. I would definitely insist that they take all of your symptoms, body and mind, into account. All the best and keep in touch.

It is understandable that you are worried. You need to relate all this to your GP. Don't worry about asking the nurse about your bp monitor. It is your body and only you knows how it reacts to certain things. You are entitled to ask anyone anything you like. Good luck.
