Peroneal nerve problems

Has anyone had problems with their perineal nerve and is it related to RA. I knelt on my right knee and the outside of my right knee hurt like I was leaning on carpet burn. I lifted my pant and and there was nothing there. It has been about two months now and I can't put any pressure on that area and if I do I get this burning sensation that takes about an hour to go away. It came shortly after I started on leflunimdie but this maybe just a coincidence. Anyone had this sort of experience.

Never had that when on Leflunomide; best ask GP.

Having arthritis (either RD or OA) of the knee joint might make it more likely to impinge on the peroneal nerve, but in a mechanical way because of the extra bone formation/ swelling etc. But not as part of the disease process. Have you talked to the medical team including the physio (they are often better at this sort of problem)?

Spoke to rheumatologist and she was unsure as was my GP. I am happy it sounds like it is not a common side effect of the leflunimide. Doctor ordered an X-ray and ultrasound of knee so I guess I will find out if it OA.
