I have noticed that I have been more lethargic the day after methotrexate jab after having COVID jab, is this just me? I know that we all have our down days after methotrexate but mine seems to have worsened.
Methotrexate and COVID jab : I have noticed that I have... - NRAS
Methotrexate and COVID jab
I have days worse than others and thus can last for weeks after each dose then suddenly I have no mtx hangover at all .. it’s a mystery to me after 5 years. Rheumatologist has no answer either.
That's interesting....My Methotrexate hangover is lasting longer; I feel like it lasts for about 5 days now. I put it down to it building up in my system as I'm on the highest dose (25mg). I did have the jab just over 8 weeks ago but can't remember when this started - I THINK that it was before that 🤔
I asked my rheumy nurse if I could drop the dose (I'm on triple therapy and my joints are OK atm) and she was going to ask the consultant but she hasn't got back to me yet.
It'll be interesting to see what others say.
Same here I take mine Friday night Saturday all I want to do is sleep only been like it since I had vaccine 😩😷
I’ve had both my jabs of and had fatigue for about two weeks after both.
Morning... I had my second jab last week and have had to sleep (solidly) for the past two afternoons. I’m currently doing my PIP review, so presumed it was down to that! As someone above said, it’s probably down to our bodies fighting even more than usual. I was a bit run down the day after I remember, like having a cold. Sleep and chocolate will help.. it’ll pass.
Everyone's reactions to the vaccination and to their RA meds can vary considerably. I would urge as many of you as possible to take part in a Global piece of research looking at people living with Rheumatic diseases and their reaction to the vaccines. It will be by gathering real world data that you can all help with that the scientists will find the answers to many of these questions. The COVID-19 Global Rheumatology Alliance (GRA) is truly grateful to many of you who have already supported in helping them learn about how COVID-19 affects people with rheumatic diseases over the past year.
As you know, the COVID-19 vaccine deployment has begun and offers hope for us to emerge from the pandemic. However, people with rheumatic diseases around the world have unique issues to consider related to receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. As more people with rheumatic diseases are getting vaccinated, their early experience is important to report. Therefore, the GRA has developed a new survey to learn about their perspectives and experiences related to the COVID-19 vaccine.
Who can take the COVID-19 Vaccine Survey?
Eligibility criteria:
Adult (ages 18 and older)
Diagnosis of a rheumatic disease
NOTE: People can participate regardless of whether or not they have had COVID-19 infection or received a COVID-19 vaccine.
