My partner who is over 70 received a text out the blue saying they have brought forward his second vaccine today and come to same centre between 1-2. As I was out and came home just before 2 I hadn't noticed the text me until just after 2. I said let's go now as the centre was 5 minutes away from home and I thought I would take my card from first vaccine as well and ask if I can have my second vaccine too. Said yes so both of us fully vaccinated. I didn't get any side effects from the first one so fingers crossed

Had second vaccine
That's brilliant news for you both and fingers crossed for no effects. I've a few friends who are in their 70's and it appears their vaccinations have been brought forward too so here's hoping that it wont be long for the rest of us. Take care and so pleased for you.
Fantastic news xxx
Excellent. ⭐️⭐️ My husband got an email this morning to get his second one booked, although he is 61. He was asked to go sooner due to my health status. There was a feature on the radio today re callers saying should I go if called when others I know haven’t been asked who may need it more? I say don’t refuse and be prepared to get up and go short notice just as you have done. There is often a surplus left over which could need using same day. One lady from a vaccination centre was also on the radio programme saying they often call the police short notice and ask if anyone can come down straight away or they would waste it if not. Makes sense and also different areas have gone faster in the groups. I had my second one last Saturday. I always say it costs nothing to politely ask in these circumstances. Well done, Bunny and Mr Bunny! 💗
I always say if you don't ask you don't get
I'm 61 but I was the one that needed to shield due to my health status too. I just took a chance as it was short notice.
I've just got a text this evening to say book with GP for 2nd vaccination and I'm 56, so will try tomorrow but being Good Friday if not open will try Tuesday.
That’s great news. I had the assistance of an excellent consultant who wrote to my GP, but I’d have chased it myself anyhow. My husband is booked in for his second vaccine now. Hope you get in next week. For my second one I phoned last Friday afternoon and was told I could go the next day, so it can be very fast now.
That's great news bunnycaramel, I'm really pleased for you both. x
Brilliant ! I'm waiting on my second one but my GP practice are very staunch about not getting it any earlier than 12 weeks and I've rang them and said I'm available to come short notice if any left over at the end of the day or go on a cancellation list but she said no. And my mum of nearly 99 has had both back in January but then lock down came and couldn't go out I'm her carer and she now can go out and I'm waiting on my second one. Doesnt make sense we should of been done at the same time and I'm also in the CEV list. I'm going to ask again next week. But made up peolpe are getting their second ones early, hope you are well .Xxxx
Brilliant. 🙌
Great news I got a text out of the blue yesterday from my GP for my 2nd one too. I booked it via the text message I got and big surprise only day available is Wednesday 7th April which just happens to be my birthday lol. But hey ho a great extra gift if you ask me so I’m not complaining. I will be 57 but I’m CEV it has been 9 weeks today since I had my first. Hope you’ve been ok after your second one.
What a great Easter gift.
