So the theories are you are "primed" by your first vaccine with your second vaccine, your booster, your body wants to fight the virus it recognises. Same as the people who got covid naturally then got vaccine , some doctors say they react more to their first vaccine because if it .
So drink plenty of fluid , try rest and it wont harm you its helping you !! Woooo , actually good news and not totally unexpected? Of course if it's an illness or worsens at all then talk to gp .
My brother in law who had severe Covid and was in hospital on oxygen last March for ten days has had to go to bed for two days this week after his first AZ but nothing serious, just exhaustion and fatigue. He was told that reaction happens more if you’ve had Covid quite badly. He’s fine now.
Thank you, he is indeed. I think he was happy to get some time away from his wife tbh! 😆 She’s a bit full on is my husband’s sister! I’m not looking forward to laying on my arm as it’s tingling. Also pulsing. You can’t help if you lay heavy on it in your sleep. It will be better after a couple of days I’m sure. Hoping you get some sleep. x
Not bad at all. My second this lunchtime. I posted separately earlier so won’t repeat here too much, but I have quite a sore arm and flashing pains and a few other minor things noticeable. Strangely enough it has given me tingling fingers in the last hour. Hope you feel better tomorrow.
Does it feel like someone whacked it with a huge heavy book? 😝 Mine has definitely set off flares like little electric shocks down the back of my hands and fingers and some other joints, but I’m keeping calm as I know they will soon go. It’s a small price to pay isn’t it? x
Much the same experience, but plenty of rest, fluids and regular paracetamol help. 4 days later every thing is settling down. At least we know out immune system is responding😂. And aren't we lucky it's done and we're safe. Be gentle with yourself for a day or two.
Aww bless you Marie. I had a worse reaction with my second vaccine. I felt quite out of sorts for around a week. Don’t regret for a second having my Covid vaccines but definitely had more of a reaction with the second one. Really hope you start to feel a little better very soon x
In my friend circle we've noticed that people with OAZ tended to react to the first jab quite a lot and had less of a reaction to the second. Those who had the Phizer were generally the other way around with a bigger reaction to the second. Be interesting to see if this was happening within the bigger population also.
I had the Astra Zeneca vaccine and was worst with the second vaccine than the first. We are all so different aren’t we? Don’t regret for a second having the vaccine’s though. x
