Just wanted to say I heard today from NHS Scotland that I will get my 3rd vaccine dose next week. I’m in Aberdeen and I’m pleased to say they are using small vaccine centres rather than go to the main centre, as I still feel vulnerable.
Feeling anxious as after my first dose my medication stopped working. Finally after my 10th drug in 2 years I have the new drug Rinvoq that is working for me. I have been on it 5 weeks and it has been amazing and I feel like I may get my life back. I really hope by taking the third dose it does not ruin my recovery. My inflammation rate has gone from 8 to 3 in these five weeks. I have contacted my consultant to see if I should take it or not.

That's a booster vaccine, not a third vaccine - apparently. I had a really muddled email from the government yesterday, saying that I can have my vaccine 6 months after my second one - a booster. But then, within that email, it was talking about immunosuppressed people needing a third vaccine! They really don't know eat they're doing 🤦🏻♀️Still, great news!
The letter from NHS Scotland says third vaccine (while we know it is a booster). If I remember in Scotland we got our stop shielding letter about 6 weeks ago, although myself and probably many others continue to be very careful. Scotland has not gone in tandem with England in regards to covid
Oh gosh. Bit of a dilemma! I’ve just received notification from dept health telling me to stop shielding but I need a third dose! Let’s hope I don’t contract Covid between stopping shielding and a 3 dose. 🙄 of course I will carry on just as I am doing. No public transport, no indoor meetings or events, and asking everyone I meet indoors to keep distance and wear a mask whilst they freeze in the Gale from the open window.
Was that letter (email in my case) from Sajid Javid? I had one yesterday saying that shielding was ending (thought that it already had?!) and that I "might be eligible for a third dose"... Did yours confirm that you were eligible or was it as vague as mine?!
I'm in the "who knows" category as I'm on 20mg Metoject. I'm not particularly concerned tbh, I just wish that they'd get their acts together as the uncertainty/poor organisation isn't good for anyone 🙄
Me too, I'm fortunate enough ? to be old enough not to need to go to work. Went into a supermarket in Ullapool for the first time since Feb 2000. They're very careful here because its the only supermarket for about 40 miles.
I’m in Ayrshire and getting mine on Sunday but have to travel 30 minutes to a large health centre in another town. Our GP sent a text msg to say they are not doing flu or covid jabs this year. It’s 3 buses to get there so just as well I can drive, not suitable otherwise but grateful I’m getting it quickly,
Glad to hear that you're getting number three. Do you remember when you had your second? I'm expecting mine in November, and am trying to think about juggling it with my next infusion. I'm in Edinburgh incidentally and get my 'ordinary' flu jag on Thursday.
Just to say I heard from my consultant today, she has advised that yes I take the booster shot and yes it will either be Pfizer or Moderna. I also have to stop taking my meds the day before, day of and day after the vaccine, so hopefully I will be ok. I willlet you know how I get on. Thankyou for all the positive messages x
I had my third jag along with flu jag on 7th October and I am near Edinburgh.Few weeks after I received letter inviting me for jag again at a different location.I phoned them and explained they thanked me for for cancelling new appt.I was told there has been some confusion regarding third or booster jag.I hope you hear soon and get more protection.
