I don’t imagine you’ll be told to stop but I guess you never know. I’m on 30mg pred so wondering about that I am. I wouldn’t be able to move if I stopped though.

I have a letter from my Rheumy matron telling me not to stop Prednisolone. However I would ask yours for advice before you do anything.

Rule of thumb with prednisolone is you simply cannot stop taking this drug a slow taper is essential . If you stop suddenly you can cause an adrenal crisis . Please talk to your Dr I ve had the vaccination and take prednisolone had no issues

in reply to Christie22

Thanks Christie22 for your reply doctor says to continue with medication 👍

I’ve just been told to continue with pred and I am 30mg a day. They said not to stop it under any circumstances. Hope this helps.

Hi Coisty I'm on Sulfasalazine & have been taking if for about 10 years. I'll try & answer your question. Usually, you reduce the dose slowly over a few week. Sometimes you stay on all these medications indefinitely as they work together. But, it's difficult now. I think it would be a good idea if you rang either your GP or Rheumatologist whichever prescribed this for you. I hope I've been helpful. Please take care keep safe & well. Good luck with having the vaccine.
