Well I have been on my keto diet for 3 weeks and I have lost 11 pounds so far, I am walking 4 times a week. My RA seems to have calm down a lot and I am in less pain. I only take a codeine in the morning and sometimes at night instead of 4 times a day. It's been a lovely day today with plenty of sunshine! I hope everyone is keeping well.

Take care.

That’s a lot in 3 weeks! And it’s great that you are already feeling benefits - whether it’s the food or the walking or the weight loss doesn’t really matter as long as it happens!

I don’t really know much about the keto diet but I could certainly do with shedding a chunk of lockdown weight myself. I’m guessing it’s quite extreme for you to have lost that much so quickly? You’ve done brilliantly 👍

Well done. Do you think that the diet is why you only need to take painkillers, or are you on other meds for RA?

amazing, well done. I wish I had the willpower, I have been comfort eating for months, hide the cake everyone!!!!!!!!😂No on a serious note I need to take notice of healthy eating and walk more like I used to before shielding. You are an inspiration. Great work.👍

Hi Wow well done you.

Can I just ask you where to get the information for the Keto diet.

The site I use for advice, latest science and recipes is dietdoctor.com . I use the free version. Although I sometimes have keto meals I am mainly just low carb with a bit of intermittent fasting - nothing drastic though! I think the word 'diet' is one of those overused words - it's more of a way of eating and contains much of what you'll find on a Mediterranean 'diet'.
