I was told no 👍
By coincidence I had to stop the Benapali and my goodness I wished I hadn't as the side effects were awful. I'm sure it was because it made the RA flare up badly and quickly. That was confirmed by A&E doctor who said on antibiotics it was not advisable to have the jab. But of course as time has gone on its only now these things are becoming more documented. I'm fine now and glad its done but for a couple of weeks it was horrid.
Hi Beth,I am on monthly abatacept infusions & had my Pfizer vaccination about 7 weeks ago. I did delay my infusion so I didn’t have both to close together & plan to do the same with the second. I got no helpful advice from the Rheumatology team so talked it over with my GP.
Hi Beth, my rheumatology team sent out advice to all patients that we shouldn't stop RA meds before the vaccines. I have abatacept jab on Sunday and had my Pfizer vaccine on a Wednesday with no I'll effects.
I’m on Abatacept, and I didn’t have to stop my injections. Hope that you get on ok. Xx
