Oh crickey Brychni, you must be so cheesed off with all of this, I hope they can do something about your tooth without extracting it. The AZ is on the BBC News site too. Good luck with the tooth.

Just read that Denmark are pausing it for fourteen days as a precaution and I think it's because Austria has suspended a particular batch pending investigation. xx

Bear in mind that these figures aren’t hugely different from the incidence of blood clots in general population.....

For a number of reasons (mainly due to supplies going to the UK) Astra-Zeneca has very bad press in Europe, and people are hugely suspicious of it. Many countries won’t give it to the over 65s even before this.

Which is been good news for my OH as at 68 with no comorbdities he is not in the eligibility for the vaccines yet, as still on over 75s and those who are CEV, firemen, nurses etc. However has been offered one for next week as our GO has supplies but few willing takers....

not at all worried but it is just my luck at the moment! Made me laugh actually. My health issues are becoming almost farcical. 😂

It's about time you got some better luck, good luck with the tooth, glad you managed to get an appointment 👍

Glad you've had your vaccine, on the road to getting back out there again x

I just looked up the Denmark situation with the vaccine and it says

"The Danish health authority said it was too early to say whether there was a link to the AstraZeneca vaccine."

I'd go for an extra run but my knees are a bit crap these days. 😄

It's so political. EU should be ashamed of their vaccine roll out , they just on this topic were slow. The data for AZ has been there, passed , since last december . But if they wanna halt well fair enough. I'd hate to have been on the list for today and not got it personally.

It's so off putting isn't it with these articles stating potential problems where there is no evidence. How many people get clots after having the yearly flu jabs etc?

Just causes people to worry, its a bit like the Peter Kay John Smiths beer advert " there's no such thing as wardrobe monsters its the burglers breaking in through the window you should be worrying about."

I'm more worried about covid

😁

Yes so much angst caused by these decisions. But I felt the french president did the most disservice and should eat humble pie. Anyway I'm escaping away from immune and RA and covid and blood clots to my beach in my head!!

The EU wasn't under the same political pressure as the UK. The vaccine roll-out was only stepped up in the UK because at that time it had the highest covid death rate in the world. Now is not the time to be shaming anyone.

thankfully it was just a filling and no pain. But I also had a long over due check up where I was invited to view the horror story that are the xrays of my gob! She told me that if I lose any more teeth at the top it will interfere with speech and eating. This may be hastened by not having falsies made which, will cost anything from £250 to £700. 🤣🤣 How I laughed when I mentally totted up spiralling private health care costs. It's all getting out of control.

I’ve to go soon in a couple of months. I’ve bridgework half done (temp fillings in) that needs finishing but it’s side to back so you can’t see anything. I think some of us are in for a few dental visits. Glad you got your filling and hope you can pace the work required .. for your health and finances too! ugh it’s so expensive.

The numbers of people with clots after vaccination is reported to be the same as in the general population. The statement made by the Danish Prime Minister is political not scientific.

The European Medical authority is not worried by this association which does not seem likely (scientifically) to be causative. Covid19 causes increased clotting, not the vaccine.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about these EU antics. It is all political posturing because astro Zenica refused to give way to the bullies and that they were so far behind in their rollout. The EU tried strong arming them that didn't work, then they tried the Chinese whispers about over 65's that didn't work, They have stopped deliveries to countries outside the EU, that brought international condemnation. So now we have another episode of reported after effects.

I had my six monthly infusion of Rhituximab yesterday and I asked the nurse there about my teeth. I have lost two fillings in the past few weeks and my dentist is refusing to see me unless Ia m in pain. Which luckily I am not at the moment. the nurse said that she hadn't heard anyone complain about their teeth but her concern was that there might be a chance of infection and that could cause problems. So I will wait for a few weeks after my second vaccination and contact the dentist again. The rhitux clinic advised a two week gap from the infusion to the second jab. So I have had to delay my appointment which was due next week. Best of luck with your dentist.
