Booster covid 19
I need a 3rd booster I could only have Astra Zeneca f... - NRAS
I need a 3rd booster I could only have Astra Zeneca for first 2 doses will I get a 3rd injection of Astra Zeneca Or give me moderna
Pfizer is chosen mostly in the U.K. I understand for the third vaccine.
Hi thank you for your reply I was told I could not have the Pfizer as I have had allergic reactions to medications in the past that’s why they gave me Astra Zeneca so I am unsure what will happen as you have said they are mostly giving out Pfizer
I think you should ask your GP what will be recommended for you under the circumstances. You may be able to have another AZ but it might need to be booked specially.
I had my 3rd vaccine last week (it was Pfizer, my first 2 were AZ) and that was more by luck as the vaccine centre have to use what they are given, there was no choice. The rather unhelpful admin chappy also said it was a booster as the 3rd vaccine hasn’t been announced yet (I’m obviously living in a parallel universe as I’ve seen it announced!). I was also there before my booster was due, so I’m calling it my 3rd. Another slight complication is the NHS has no ‘3rd vaccine’ as a choice for recording purposes in its computer system.
Seems a massive kerfuffle to me, but I was very happy to have mine regardless of what it’s called!
I’ll make sure to get a booster in 6 months.
My first two were AZ but my consultant had written to my GP to say my 3rd jab must be Pfizer to give me a better chance of developing antibodies ?
Everyone I know has had pfiser regardless of what they had for the first two.
I had AZ for the first two and Pfizer for the third.
Me too . But after I had received the Pfizer as a “booster” , which was recorded as such on my records , I received a copy of the letter from my rheumatologist to my doctor saying that I was entitled to a third vaccine . Has anyone had success in getting their records changed so that they will be called , in due time , for their actual booster ?
Thank you for your reply’s I’m going to speak to my rheumatology today and see what he recommends
