Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with RA 6 months ago. Had a flare just before the diagnosis. My question today is does anyone with RA develop areas on skin that are red and inflamed? Today both my eyelids are red and quite angry! Could this be the start of a flare or something else not connected with my RA? Thanks everyone

Yes, RA can cause some skin issues, but so can diseases like psoriatic arthritis and many other conditions. Have a read of this: creakyjoints.org/living-wit...
I would advise against chalking up any new symptoms to RA - always get them checked out if they persist for more than a few days - a week (depending on what the symptom is).
Hope it eases up soon for you x
P.S. some face creams, especially those containing retinol, can lead to eyelid redness - just in case you’ve switched brand recently!
