Hi all, well an update on my flare. I rang rumey nurse today and they got back to me today , very surprised to hear back so soon. I asked can I take some steroids as everything is hurting so much and she asked the consultant. He said yes take 7.5 mg for 7 days then stop, if after I take them I don't see an improvement I am to have another steroids shot in a week's time. It was a good result and exactly what I wanted. She said I had done well to get off them last year. Yes I don't want to go back on them long term. So am hoping a week of them will kick me back to normal! Thanks for your help guy. Oh that’s good news I hope they do the trick for you. What a sensible rheumy team you have if you ask me that’s what we all look for prompt care when requested and a solution even if it’s short term.
