rheumy nurse got back to me yesterday and has said she will write to my GP about increasing my MTX dose from 10 to 15. She did say that even though I started on MTX on 1st October it was still early days but agreed that things shouldn't really be getting worse which, they are.
She didn't say anything about and appointment though.

Bore da Brychni. Hope the increase helps a lot but of course that will take a few weeks to kick in too, still better late than never. As regards the appointment, that's the way it is now isn't it! Once again a lot of the staff are on the Covid wards - that's what I was told two weeks ago when I was in hospital.
Ive been on 20mg MTX for about two an a half years Brychni. Looking back i started on 15, 3 months later was on 20mg and been there ever since. I have found the injections a lot better. Its early days with your treatment hopefully you'll feel the effect of upping your dosage shortly. Its just finding which is best for you and that takes a little time but you'll get there 🙂
It's interesting how rheumy teams differ; mine has been much quicker to increase doses of various medications and add new ones. I've rarely waited the full 12 weeks before they've adjusted things, they seem to think that there should be at least some improvements after 8.
