Hi all it seems I am having a flare, my hands and wrists, omg so painful and my fingers and hands. My rings are stuck on my fingers and am so tired. So yes a flare! I am wearing both my wrist braces and I am pleased I am not at work! I might ring up and ask to go on steroids for a short time. I don't really know what to do with myself! This last year seems to have been a long flare! Not continuing, but a lot more than normal. Hey guys thanks for listening. Take care everyone. 😊

Horrible. I was given Naproxen as a pain killer Carol which took most of the pain away when i was having flares. The tiredness and pain is horrid. I dont really like taking pain killers but if you have too. Some of my flares lasted into weeks, seeming never ending. Hope you get some relief soon.

I'm not surprised Carolsos as you've had a lousy year with one upset after another and it really does take it out of you doesen't it, especially with RA. You could ask for pain relief or maybe a depo medrone shot to help you. I hope you can get sorted. All the best. xx

Hi Carolsos, I am sorry to hear that and great you are not at work. I find when I have a wrist, hands and finger flare up wrapping ice cubes in a towel and placing my wrist on it. Helps to ease the pain. I hope this brings you some relief.

What I've learnt through my 2 year battle is that even with medication that controls it to expect flare ups. I'm now in a place where when my RA flares up and I feel awful, sorry for myself and in pain, but it does pass and I know that I will feel much better and feel positive again. Expect and accept you will have bad days but equally good ones! It s riding with the wave sometimes it s calm and other days a tidal wave hits you.
