I will phone the dentist this morning to ask for an anti-biotic, but can't go in as my round trip to the hospital is going to take up most of the day. Fingers crossed, they won't insist on seeing me.
These ulcers appeared almost 18 months ago, they are deep and I have bone exposed, it was while I was taking Leflunomide. I have had numerous appointments with the FacialMaxillory doctor cancelled due to Covid. Maybe this year, I will get them sorted out - not a clue how.
Hey- ho, just keep feeding myself co-codomol and Naproxen and carry on. Counting blessings all the way.
Make the most of the day, it is another gift so go gently through it and stay safe everyone.

That sounds so painful and debilitating. I used to have lots of mouth ulcers and know how ‘lowering’ they can be. Could your GP or dentist put pressure for you to be seen by a specialist urgently?
Ouch..... ulcers are a difficult thing to cure.. my hubby and sons all suffer from them . Have yet to find any that’s works . Good luck
I suffered really badly from mouth ulcers until my 20's. After a really bad bout, where my whole mouth was one ulcer, the doctor suggested I changed my toothpaste. I did and have hardly had one since. I know for some people there can be more serious triggers but it is worth a try. If I use the toothpaste in my mum's house I get one, so I don't now!
Ouch, mouth ulcers are horrible, are they triggered by your meds? One of the reasons I stopped mtx was recurrent ulcers. Hope you get good advice really soon.
Oooh that sounds really painful Brushwork and I hope you can get something done about it soon, especially with bone exposure. I hope all goes well with your appointment today - maybe they can give some good advice about the mouth ulcers. 🤞
My dentist firmly said to me that the size of the mouth ulcers that I had with methotrexate should send me back to the rheumatologist for alternative treatment. I agreed and so did the rheumatologist fortunately.
Thank you, I had these before Methotrexate, which has now been stopped. I have about a month with nothing more than a steroid jab and Naproxen so I will try to figure out a way to heal them.
Hi brushwork I use to and occasionally get mouth ulcers quite often. Mine were due to having a food allergy to wheat and gluten. I take B vitamins now and they did help then as well might be worth a try. Hope you get sorted soon x
