So since i was diagnosed with ra in nov 19, ive had swollen legs but my left leg is bigger. I have a ganglion cyst inside the knee and found out in november 2020 that i have varicose veins beside my knee on the inside and at my ankle. Neither are visible. The hospital gave me support stockings but i cant wear them as they cause me to have severe leg and arm pain with an elevated heart rate. I have a large lump where the varicose vein is by my knee but what can i do to get rid of the lump. Its unsightly and my trousers stick to it. Ive worn proskins for 3 yrs which are compression leggings. Tia

I’m not sure you can get rid of varicose veins yourself Sammie. I’d speak to whoever gave you the stockings to let them know the symptoms they are causing, maybe they can suggest something else to help.
Support hose can help to prevent the swelling in the varicose vein but it's not a good idea if you have either any narrowing of the arteries (did you have the pressure measured?) or swelling of the joints (which don't like being squashed although some support and compression is helpful)The only way to get rid of varicose veins is injection and compression and sometimes stripping of the vein surgically.
If you are having pain then you need to go back to your medical team for advice.
