Also excellent that the MSK say they will speak to the NHS re the logistics of maintenance Rituximab and the Covid vaccines in future.

Many thanks for posting this comprehensive and easy to read info.Im particularly interested to see the answer to the question ‘Should methotrexate be temporarily stopped before vaccination.’ I’m having my vaccine on Wed so too early for the answer but I’m feeling lucky to be having the vaccine so soon. I’m only...haha...75 and not on any EV list but have heard of people much older still waiting for theirs.Maybe how efficiently the local roll out is happening? In my area it seems to have been done very quickly and efficiently.Hope you are well and a vaccine is on its way to you if not already happened.

Hello L-ttie,The recommendation for pausing MTX in connection with the flu vaccination is to skip the two doses following the jab. I have discussed with my rheumatologist whether to stop MTX for two weeks after covid vaccination. Her answer is that no decision has been made as yet, but that if I feel comfortable with doing that, she is also okay about it. I have paused it for two weeks after each time I've had the winter flu vaccination, with no ill effects, and unless we get firm advice to the contrary, I will pause it after the covid vaccination.

On the roll-out, my husband (78 in a couple of weeks) got the Pfizer vaccination on Thursday evening, two days ago. It does seem to depend on where you are. Best wishes.

Thankyou so much for this info. Until we hear differently it makes sense to follow previous advice.Good to hear that the vaccine has reached your husband and hope all is going well. Your turn soon hopefully.Best Wishes

Thank you for posting. Very useful information in one place and backs up what my Rheumatology department said about only needing to wait 4 weeks after Rituximab before having the vaccine.
