Scotland publishes findings on vaccines
At first glance, seems very reassuring! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing, always good to keep up with as much information as we can. xx
Thanks for sharing that. They are preliminary findings after one dose of vaccine, but good responses to the vaccine.
Whilst this is kind of re-assuring, it hasn’t split out different vulnerable groups and only looks at those defined at extremely vulnerable. Other studies have indicated lower vaccine effectiveness for RA patients on methotrexate and other drugs though with small patient numbers. I think larger studies are being done, but until they are published and reviewed I think caution is still sensible.
Thanks for posting. Sounds like good news (for some). Octave publishing soon too.
Thank you for sharing this. Although it's still early days, it is nevertheless encouraging 😁
Encouraging, but no mention of efficacy for those on steroids.
I agree: definitely not a definitive report, plus lots of missing information for many of us.
Thank you. We need the octave results for full details of conditions and medications monitored and as posted yesterday (by Dave) those should be with us soon. 🙏🏻💗
My app won’t let me see these when I click on them… just bad error request message. 😢
🤔Maybe try the online version of healthunlocked:
Thank you. Just going to wait for other studies. The Lancet one showed far less protection. John Hopkins showed only minority of eg transplant patients had any protection.
I’m glad UK GOV invested in 100 million doses of Valneva (whole inactivated virus, traditional vaccine) and intends rolling out a booster programme this autumn. Priority for older and most vulnerable groups.
Valneva should be authorised this autumn.
Encouraging at first sight, but very general. We do need more specific information. I am being ultra cautious at the moment. Thanks for posting it.
Thank you. I am still looking forward to the Octave study, as that should offer findings following both doses of vaccine. Good news though...
