Please phone gp it could be cellulitis. Is it hot to touch , is it red , do you feel fluey . Elevate the foot call the doctors x
Thanks for the reply. I did feel fluey the last few days . My hubby said it was hot all night but it’s not red . I’ve a permanent heaviness in my calf and an ache .
Have you contacted your GP or rhematology team ? I would x
Sorry you are having a hard time
Left message with the team but I will be one of many as they only return to work today. Thanks M x
You need a doctor appt - or to call 111 for advice I think. I’m glad the Bari is working though!
It might be worth contacting NHS111 as your rheumatology team could be a while in responding to you. Best wishes to you.
I'd definitely get it checked ASAP if I were you.Good that things are improving otherwise though 😊
Get checked please x
Oh goodness I really do hope you get some advice today. Hope you are on the phone to 111 as I type. Thinking of you x
That needs looking at J. I think elevate and 111 as the others have said, as rheumy maybe inundated but I hope I'm wrong there. 🤞 x
Mmm, I’m not too sure that sounds like side effects J1707. Could be a flare, or even something totally unrelated to RA like others have said. If you have been feeling fluey for the last few days I would agree that might be best to get checked? Whatever you decide to do, hope you feel better soon. Xx
I am sorry to read and see this. Do call 111 for advice... like the others have said. I hope it will all be ok 💕
Hope someone answered the message you left or you have managed to get some advice. Let us know how you have got on and how you are. Take care x
Hi Pip still waiting they do tend to ring late have been known to ring at 7 pm. Advice from GPs was to contact team and if things got worse ring 111 . I’ve done nothing but rest it today it’s no worse but I will ring 111 if things change but I know they will tell me to contact my clinic. Reading up on the side effects has confirmed it’s high likely Baricitinib. Thanks for asking will keep you posted xx
Wow - that does look very swollen 😧 I'm afraid I don't have experience of baricitinib so can't comment on that, just wanted to say sorry you are having to put up with this, and I hope your team contact you soon xx 🤞
How are you feeling today hun?
Just saw this post ... oh that looks sore ! 😓 as others have said you def need that seen to ... please let us know how you are xxx
HiI had to stop baracitinib for that very reason. My feet and ankles were swollen to above my knees as well as wrists and hands. Completely unrecognizable. I gained 12 pounds of edema. Because of the black box warning re: embolisms, my rheumi agreed that i stop right away. It was also messing with my kidneys. I was not getting benefit from the drug either. Best wishes to you
I think it is the meds and I have had swelling of the hands too . I’ve suddenly gained 6lb . I am disappointed as my fatigue has gone . Oh well back to the drawing board . Thanks you have reassured me x
Hi J107 - just read your post, hope things are better for you now and your Rheumy team have come back. I would have thought the meds but of course as said see what they say. Wishing you a swift recovery from this - Hessie
