I take sulphasalazine and methotrexate for inflammatory arthritis. Condition is fairly well controlled but I have suffered with oral thrush and resulting very bad breath for over a month. I have been prescribed Nystatin and am on my second week of using this although the taste makes me gag.
Any advice or suggestions you have would be appreciated.

I got this with a biologic also oral steroids. I used the above but also used a bicarbonate mouth rinse 🤢worse than nystatin also switched to a sensitive toothpaste.
I must be fortunate, was taking sulphasalazine along with Methotrexate for many years and didn’t have any problems. I just take Methotrexate now, taking the two wasn’t helping, so Methotrexate dose alone was increased.
I use Neem toothpaste. It’s available online on amazon if you can’t find in a local asian store. No fluoride. Stopped taking Methotrexate now but still on Sulfasalazine.
