I have been selected to do a home covid Antibody test for research purposes ( with London college ).
I did the test at home but not sure what the result means .
According to their booklet I am positive but according to their website it says to ignore my reading as invalid (???)
My reading shows igM positive ( but not igG).
I understand igM is if you recently had it and igg if you had it maybe a while ago ( might be completely wrong !!)
As far as I am aware I never had it anyway but I was wondering if my RA and the fact that I always have very high immune system might have affected the results. Also on roactemra .
Does anybody know if high igM means you might have it or recently had it . Have you done this test ?
Thank you , have a nice day

Hi, I have done this test this morning as I was selected too. My result was negative, thought it would be but nice to have it confirmed. I have RA and Lupus. If your line in the C bit is blue it is invalid but If your test result is complete red line next to c and there is a line next to M it would be positive for igM. Hope that makes sense as it is a bit confusing.
Very odd to know what is what isn’t it? I found answering all the questions as part of the survey very confusing and had to read many of them several times. Maybe ring the number on the letter to see if they can shed some light on it so to speak?
I did ring the nber many times at different time of the day but I gave up every time after 30 min wait . I guess I'm not the only one confused with their results' confusion
I don’t blame you for giving up with trying to contact them about it. I think many people will be confused with their results. Such a shame it has not been made more user friendly as good to help with research where we can. So sorry I have not been able to help further though.
