Why is my knee soo swollen?? This is the one I had partial replacement on last July

Did the swelling ever go down after the partial replacement in July or is this new swelling? A friend of ours had his knee done and it is taking him a long time to recover.

Yes hun it’s been ok it’s just today and seems to be in my foot as well x

Given you’ve had a replacement, I think you probably need some medical advice on this. I’ve never had a knee replacement but I’ve had another joint replaced and was told to keep an eye out for unusual swelling. Do you have a temperature or any other symptoms?

I have a new knee since January 2019 and if overdo walking or exercise which put pressure on the knees, I still get swelling and tendon pain. It disappears after a day's rest. Could it be something along those lines?

It could be but I only walked down hill then home

Glad it’s feeling a bit better. I’d say walking downhill is worse than uphill. We took the train up snowdonia a few years ago and walked back down - it nearly killed us. We both decided it would have been easier in our legs to have walked up and taken the train down.
