I am currently on benepali injection once a week for arthritis no other underlying heath conditions and very well managed RA. Should I be shielding what are others doing? I am seeing so much differing advice I’m confused. I have been told to shield yet other trusts aren’t shielding

Benepali
The guidance is so contradictory! And they admit they have sent out letters wrongly. However, most guidance seems to say if you are under 70, with no other diseases and only on one immune suppressing drug then there is no need to shield.
I am on 2, plus other minor problems, and have chosen to be careful but not shield as I would be a basket case if I had to stay in the house. It is a personal choice.
I only started this 2 weeks ago, but have been on steroids after becoming allergic to the last biologic. I am shielding and got the official letter 7 weeks ago. I would not feel confident going out as I know I have no immune system. I catch everything worse than anybody else. Even caught the norovirus a couple of years back and it lasted for 5 weeks and I had to be hospitalised. Not taking any chances.
Hi different hospitals have different advice, just phone you help line and leave a message they will get back to you and give you advise
I am only on one dmard and as had no letter so i've not been shielding. Being very cautious and if anywhere looks to busy I come away.
There is guidance on the NRAS website.
Not tailored to individuals obvs but general.
I would follow the advice of your Rheumy team
Well I raised it and I got a call from my consultant I was put on teh shielding list by accident and I should never have been on it
