Thanks for your good wishes for Friday, when I had my first dose of Tocilizumab. I did say I was going to let Flowers2020 know how I got on...sorry about delay...RA has been extra pain in the bum the last couple of weeks, then add in a bit of reservation about new drug and going into hospital at the mo...I just had nothing left in reserve, felt really worn out and slept loads. But now back to my weird normal !! All went swimmingly, Flowers - no reaction and much quicker than last years Rituximab infusion. All hospital staff masked / gowned, distancing and all patients kept well apart - felt totally safe
Anyhoo, I hope you all have a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend...since I've been furloughed my day is broken up with cuppas and shortbread...elevensies, three o clocksies...you get the idea I feel another one calling...tee blooming hee!

Just taken my weekly tocilizumab injection out of the fridge to self inject in 20 minutes (room temperature). If it works for you why not enquire about this? I have it delivered to the chemist across the road from work and pick it up on my way home in an insulated sandwich bag with an ice pack inside. I hope it works for you like it did for me (took 3 months to kick in and was the fifth biologic I tried)
